Tico Terms of Use

Last updated: September 2026

What this covers

These terms apply to the Tico Chrome extension and this website. Installing or using Tico means you accept them. They are short because Tico is a small free tool that holds no account of yours and stores nothing on our side.

What Tico costs

Nothing. Tico is free to install and free to use. If a paid tier is added later it will be clearly marked before you pay for anything, and it will not take away something you already had for free.

Your data is yours

Your tasks live on your own computer. We do not receive them, cannot read them, and have nothing to delete on request because we never had a copy. See the privacy policy for the detail.

What Tico does not promise

Tico is a reminder tool, not a guarantee. It cannot fire a notification while Chrome is closed, notifications can be suppressed by your operating system, and reading a date out of a sentence is a guess that will sometimes be wrong — which is why the preview shows you the guess before you save. Do not rely on Tico alone for anything where missing it would be serious — medication, legal deadlines, flights.

Tico is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from using it, including a reminder that did not arrive or data lost from your browser's storage. Export your tasks periodically if they matter to you.

Fair use

Do not use Tico to break the law, and do not redistribute modified copies of it as though they were the original. The source is public; treat it kindly.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. Continuing to use Tico after that means accepting the new version.
