Kiko – Terms of Service Kiko – Terms of ServiceBy installing or using the Kiko Chrome extension ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Kiko is a Chrome browser extension that detects keyboard layout mismatches between English and Hebrew, Russian, Ukrainian, Korean, Greek, or Arabic, and assists users in correcting their text. Kiko is free to use for the first 30 days after installation. Continued use after that requires a paid subscription.
Every new installation includes a 30-day free trial. No payment details are required to start the trial, and nothing is charged during it. Anyone who installed Kiko before subscriptions existed — that is, on any version before 4.5.0 — receives a 60-day trial instead, since their trial period began before a price was announced.
If you installed Kiko before subscriptions were switched on, your trial does not begin until the first time you run a version that asks for payment. It is not counted from the date you installed. Nobody loses trial time to a period during which Kiko was free and no charge had been mentioned.
After the trial, continued use requires a subscription. That is $5 per month or $40 per year; you choose which at checkout. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Subscriptions renew until cancelled, and you may cancel at any time from your Lemon Squeezy customer portal or by contacting us.
If you do not subscribe when the trial ends, detection simply stops. Nothing is deleted, and the word lists Kiko has learned remain on your device.
We will give existing users reasonable notice before changing the price of an active subscription.
You can cancel at any time, without contacting us, at app.lemonsqueezy.com/my-orders. Enter the email address you paid with and follow the link sent to you. Cancelling stops all future charges; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
We refund in full, on request, within 14 days of payment. Full details are in our Refund Policy. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the consumer law of your own country — where that law gives you more than this policy does, it applies.

Because detection runs entirely on your own device and nothing you type is transmitted to us, we cannot inspect your text to diagnose a fault. A description of what happened is genuinely the only thing we have to work from.
You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Kiko extension on your devices. You may not redistribute, resell, reverse-engineer, or modify the extension.
A subscription covers up to three browsers at a time. You activate Kiko by pasting your licence key into the extension, and reinstalling does not consume an activation — Kiko releases the one that browser already held before taking another. If you reach the limit through ordinary use of more than three machines, contact us and we will raise it at no charge.
You agree not to use Kiko for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the Service. One license is for personal use on your own devices.
Kiko and all associated content, branding, and code are the property of Kiko. All rights reserved.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate in all language detections.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kiko shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Kiko is sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record for every purchase. Lemon Squeezy is the seller of record, takes the payment, issues the invoice, is responsible for sales tax and VAT, and is the name that appears on your card statement.
